Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 24 oz package frozen ravioli (do not thaw)
- 1 24 oz jar spaghetti sauce
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley optional
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Sauce
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, and garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and the onions are softened, about 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and diced tomatoes, mixing well.
- Assemble in Slow Cooker
- Spread a layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a layer of frozen ravioli, followed by more meat sauce and a layer of cheese. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- Cook and Serve
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours. Once done, turn off the slow cooker and let the dish rest for about 20 minutes to set. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
