This recipe makes me feel like it’s Christmas morning. I wanted to make a simple yet tasty dish that would satisfy the entire family, and this cinnamon french toast recipe bubble up is perfect. It’s sweet enough to feel like a treat, yet it’ll keep you on target. This dish can be mixed up in a matter of minutes and baked. Serves 12 and costs only 4 WW freestyle smart points a serving.
Ingredients:
- 2 7.5 cans of Buttermilk Biscuits
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 heaping tsp+ 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 5 eggs
- 1/3 cup 1 percent Milk
- 3 tsp Vanilla
- 1 3/4 Tbsp Sugar Free Syrup
- Icing:
- 1/3 cup Swerve Confectioners Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
How To Make French Toast Recipe?
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonfat cooking spray.
- Open both rolls of biscuits and cut all 20 biscuits into six small pieces. Giving you 120 pieces of dough.
- Mix one TBSP of sugar and heaping tsp of cinnamon in a gallon ziploc bag. Add the pieces into the bag and shake.
- Coat all pieces, the pieces will clump, so be sure to separate while shaking.
- Place the dough pieces evenly in the dish to cover the bottom.
- In a bowl whisk the eggs and milk together. Stir in the vanilla and the remaining two tsps of cinnamon. Pour over the dough pieces drizzle with the syrup.
- Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from the oven
- Now you can make the icing by mixing all three ingredients together. Pour over the French Toast Bubble Up while it’s still warm.
