Southern Fried Salmon Patties

Southern Fried Salmon Patties are an easy recipe. My southern mom made these all the time. How about you? Do they bring back some memories? They are easy to make and the best I’ve ever tasted!!!

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 Can salmon, drained
  • ¼ cup Onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Cornmeal
  • 1 egg, large
  • 3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • Oil, for cooking
  • To taste: Salt and pepper

👩‍🍳 How to Make Southern Fried Salmon Patties

  1. Add the salmon to a bowl, and flake the meat with a fork.
  2. Place the onion, flour, cornmeal, egg, mayo, and salt and pepper to taste into the bowl with the salmon, and mix well to combine.
  3. Form the mixture into patties about the size of a burger.
  4. Heat an inch or so of cooking oil over medium heat on the stove, and fry the salmon patties evenly on both sides until golden brown and cooked through.
