Apple Cinnamon Cake

Apple Cinnamon Cake - A moist and spiced cake filled with chunks of apple and warm cinnamon. Perfect for dessert, coffee breaks, or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 apples diced
  • ½ cup walnuts/pecans optional

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease pan.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry mixture and milk.
  5. Fold in apples and nuts.
  6. Bake 40-45 minutes.
  7. Cool, slice, and serve.

Notes

Use tart apples for best flavor.
Add extra spices for warmth.
Can be glazed or served plain.
Freezes well for up to 2 months.
