- 1 lb 450 g breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or chicken)
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup 240 ml whole milk
- 2 cups 200 g shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 cups 120 g frozen hash browns, thawed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
How To Make Incredible Breakfast Bake
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté the vegetables by adding the onion and bell pepper to the sausage. Cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Layer the base by spreading the hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Add the filling by spooning the sausage and vegetable mixture over the hash browns. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl with milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the entire dish.
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve. Garnish if desired
