- 9 oz bag Fritos corn chips
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
How TO Make Peanut Butter Fritos Candy
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, then pour the Fritos corn chips to cover the bottom.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the corn syrup and sugar. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir well.
- Continue microwaving in 1-minute increments until the sugar mixture comes to a boil (about 3 minutes total).
- Remove the sugar mixture from the microwave and stir in the peanut butter until smooth.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the Fritos, trying to cover all the chips. Do not stir.
- Allow the mixture to sit for 1 hour until cooled.
- If desired, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (30-second intervals until smooth) and spread over the cooled bars.
