Wisconsin Supper Club Cheese Spread

When we think Wisconsin, we think cheese. “America’s Dairyland” sure has earned a reputation for loving midwestern comfort food, heavy on the cheese. And you still see that tradition carried on in the classic Supper Club establishments of the region. If you’re not familiar, Supper Clubs are restaurants that are only open for dinner and tend to have a very communal feel to them. They’re often found in more rural areas and serve classic menu items like old fashions, a relish tray, steaks, prime rib, and most importantly…. Cheese Spread. It’s not fancy or pretentious, it’s just darn tasty. Let’s get into how it’s made.

  • 1/4 cup French dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
