Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g ground sausage mild or spicy
  • 8 oz 225g cream cheese softened and cubed
  • 2 cups 200g shredded cheese cheddar works great, or cheddar + mozzarella blend

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Cook the Sausage
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Add Cream Cheese
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Add cubed cream cheese to the skillet.
  • Stir until melted and fully combined with the sausage.
  • Assemble
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
  • Bake
  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
  • Rest & Serve
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to thicken slightly.
