These highly addictive Playoff Puffs combine the satisfying crunch of a tortilla chip with the rich, creamy center of a bacon jalapeño popper! They are the ultimate, bite-sized party appetizer for game days and weekend gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 10 oz bag Tostitos scoops tortilla chips
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 2-3 jalapeños seeded and diced
  • 2/3 cup bacon crumbles
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Mix the Base: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and the egg. Mix thoroughly until the base is completely smooth and creamy.
  • Add Mix-ins: Add the seeded and diced jalapeños, bacon crumbles, and garlic powder to the cream cheese mixture. Stir well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the filling.
  • Fill the Chips: Arrange the Tostitos scoops cup-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Using a small cookie scoop or a teaspoon, carefully spoon the filling into each tortilla chip cup until they are full.
  • Add Topping: Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the top of each filled puff.
  • Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is puffed, bubbling, and slightly golden on top.
  • Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for just a minute or two. Serve hot for the absolute best results and texture!

Notes

Pro-Tip: For the cleanest presentation and best flavor, use freshly cooked and crumbled bacon rather than store-bought bacon bits. The freshly rendered pork fat will mix beautifully into the cream cheese as the puffs bake!
